In the mountains of northern Japan, wind, sun and even cow dung are being turned into electricity as part of an effort to create a whole town running on only renewable energy.

Texas To Build Wind Power Superhighway
In what is purported to be the largest investment in clean, renewable energy in US History, Texas has been given preliminary approval for a $4.9 billion plan to build transmission lines to carry wind power from West Texas to urban areas such as Dallas.



Alaska a model for renewable energy
Energy experts say that Alaska can be -- and in many ways already is -- a model for the rest of the United States in terms of converting to renewable energy.
