Iowa Gov. Culver Says Wind Can Boost Economy
Iowa Gov. Chet Culver is joining other Midwestern governors to support wind energy as a way to give the region`s sagging industrial economy a boost.

New Energy Source? Bacteria Harvest Light
An international team of scientists has determined the structure of the chlorophyll molecules in green bacteria that are responsible for harvesting light energy. The team`s results one day could be used to build artificial photosynthetic systems, such as those that convert solar energy to electrical energy.



Wind turbine builder Siemens picks Hutchinson, Kan. for new plant
Siemens AG has picked Kansas for a $50 million plant to build wind turbine components.The factory will be built in Hutchinson and will create 400 jobs.
