Solar Charger.Kent has sent us some pictures of his solar charger for his pond pump. The Panel sitting out in the sun. It's a 12V 10 Watt panel.  The battery (Normal Lead acid car battery) and regulator with fuses and switch. The panels go through one fuse (5 Amp) into regulator (5 Amp) which goes out through another fuse (5 Amp) into the battery. There is also a out from the battery through the switch ready for any DC loads.  A picture from the back with all of the wiring.  It take about 2 weeks from flat to full, but it is currently used for a pond pump for a few hours a day, which works well. |
